X-Wiki:Why to make an account

Although you may be able to edit pages without the need to be logged in, here are reasons why you should create an accout:

you will have your own personal page and talk page which you can use as a way to communicate with others (see Project:User page)
you will be able to see your contributions and be able to add pages to your watch list
you will be able to change several settings in your preferences
your IP address will no longer be visible in page history if you edit a page - instead your user name will be displayed
anonynous edits are never as trusted as edits made by logged in users
as a logged in user, you can mark your edits as minor
